I am literally exhausted looking for a PostgreSQL client for the Mac! Either I am terribly incompetent when it comes to browsing the web or there are none out there! More than two of my Google search result pages are filled with links and references to Navicat. While I do hate this (an opportunity to perfect search), I am also stumped at the fact that nobody has ever attempted to create a descent one. Maybe it is not required since most make use of the command line. Well, lets face it, I am not of that kind. While I do use the command line quite often, I definitely do not want to spend my time learning a few more commands here and there. There is not too much time to waste on this, especially when other alternatives may be available.
Finally, I settled down on Navicat Lite. While functionally the client is awesome, I am surprised at the lack of creativity that has gone into making the UI more pleasing to the eyes. Not only are the icons just plain dirty (I mean it, it sucks big time), one can’t even resize them. Hey you guys at Navicat, if you really spent so much time in making such a great tool, why don’t you go and hire some creative people and get rid of that sloppy job you have done on the interface!!! I mean, how much more work is it?
